Shikshya Adhikari

Shikshya Adhikari  

Shikshya Adhikari is a research supervisor for the Project on Violent Conflict at Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, University at Albany. She is also a Phd Student at Rockefeller College. She has three plus years of experience researching violent extremism and violent non-state actors. Her research focuses on states' sponsorship of violent non-state actors. She has been a participant in the Gender, Peace and Security 2019 Symposium hosted by Women in International Security and is a Hans J. Morgenthau Fellow, 2020-2021. She also has two years of experience working in humanitarian response projects in South Asia.

Jordan Ernstsen

Jordan Ernstsen

Jordan Ernstsen is a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Utah. Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed a master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Chicago, where he was a second-year specialization student in the Committee on International Relations. His research interests are in international relations theory, international security, U.S. foreign policy and grand strategy, and alliance politics. Jordan is currently studying crisis (de)escalation dynamics in U.S.-Iran relations as part of the Near Crisis Project.

Edward Gonzales

Edward Gonzales

Edward Gonzalez is a Ph.D candidate in Political Science and International Relations (POIR) at the University of Southern California. His research interests revolve around international security and international relations theory, particularly nuclear proliferation/nonproliferation, democratic peace, the study of war, and interstate alliances. Edward is currently working on international conflict, (near) crisis, and war as part of the Near Crisis Project.

Suzanne Weedon

Suzanne Weedon Levy

Suzanne Weedon Levy is a Research Director for the Center for Policy Research (CPR), at the University at Albany. Weedon Levy graduated with a B.A. in criminal justice and psychology from the University at Albany in 2014 and received her M.A. from UAlbany in 2016. She has extensive experience conducting research on terrorism and data automation, in addition to creating and maintaining large scale quantitative datasets.  

Anne Van Wijk

Anne Van Wijk 

Anne van Wijk is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science and International Relations at the University of Southern California. She is interested in international governance, international cooperation and the dynamics between international organizations and their members. She is also working on international conflict, in particular the process of conflict (de)escalation, crisis and war within the Near Crisis Project.
